About the Team

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions China is now looking to build business with personal insurance products sold under the brands of existing and new distribution partners. Execution of this strategy is via a B2B2C model across a variety of primary platforms.

In this role, you will have opportunities to closely work in a high caliber teams, interacting with many different parts of the organization such as Product, Partnership, Marketing, Finance. As an integral part of the Strategy & Planning teams, you will play an influential role and key liaison to functional leaders at local and broader APAC level in driving the growth and success of the business. You will carry out strategic analyses and projects that will have significant impact on ecosystem establishment, business growth strategy and sustainable profitability. You will define business problem solving frameworks, raise strategic and critical questions to challenge status quo, and come up with succinct recommendations. Also, you will be accelerating organizational performance through definition and implementation of an organizational dashboard for impact and organizational effectiveness. 
 

About the Role

Strategy Development:
•    Support Head Strategy & Planning to lead, develop and execute our growth strategies and strategic priorities
•    Leverage strategic frameworks to decompose complex business problems, formulate your recommendations, and communicate ideas effectively
•    Conduct market and competitive research and analysis to support partnership, operations and marketing strategies development by providing with insights and staying connected to key business challenges and market opportunities 
•    Assess business context across geographies, consumers, partners, distribution platforms/channels to identify key strategic imperatives, define capabilities required, and translate China business mission into strategic projects, own and drive through to implementation
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute annual strategic plans and long-term business plans that drive business growth
•    Prepare management documents and market intelligence reports
•    Support boarder Global and APAC strategic initiatives
Business Planning and Reporting:
•    Develop and complete the detailed financial models for rolling forecast and annual plans across various purposes, incl. scenario development, financial reporting, forecasting and controlling etc.
•    Interpret financial information to business management incl. analysis of business performance and associated drivers to support and inform business decision
•    Support Head Strategy & Planning to develop presentation and high value analysis to initiate the regular business review and solutions
•    Assis with and prepare timely and accurate management and board reporting to meet regulatory requirements

 

About You

•    You are strategic thinker with strong business acumen and agility working in a matrix environment 
•    You are self-motivated, result-driven and responsible-owner in delivering high quality results
•    You are experienced in leading complex, strategic projects in a start-up, consulting or corporate environment
•    You are confident with strong analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, and creativity
•    You are mature, collaborative and tactful in handling challenges at all levels from peers to senior executives, must be comfortable in a visible leadership position and can present in a confident manner under pressure
•    You also have strong ability to build relationships with senior leaders and peers across all functions 

Education
•    Undergraduate or higher in business administration, insurance, finance with outstanding record of academic achievement

Languages
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills in Chinese Mandarin is a prerequisite, an
•    Fluency in English is a must

Professional experience
•    Minimum of 5 years work experience after graduation, with functional knowledge in strategy development, business planning or financial analysis, or relevant industry experience in P&C and/or Life/Health insurance in China
•    Reputable strategy/management consulting and/or in-house strategy department is a plus (Senior Associate above/Manager position preferred)
•    Demonstrated aptitude for analytics and familiar with using analytics tools

•    Outstanding interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
