Pricing SEA Intern

About the Role:
The role will be part of the L&H South East Asia (SEA) & India pricing team taking responsibility for product development and pricing of new Life & Health business to help the region achieve its ambitious growth plans. We aim to do this through better client experience; cutting-edge, better-informed pricing; and supporting development of innovative products for clients in the region.
Major Responsibilities:
- Support the pricing and modelling of new business under the supervision of other team members
- Prepare quotation documentation and assist in the reinsurance treaty documentation
- Work with a cross-functional team of experts from client markets, underwriting and claims towards assessing the risks associated with a particular opportunity; and research the pricing basis for those risks
- Research the reinsurance pricing basis for different business lines
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the line manager
About You:
- Actuarial student with exceptional academic performance and progress in exams with a recognised Actuarial body (IOA, IAA, SOA, CIA);
- Ability to analysis large amounts of data;
- Good personal organisation skills;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proficient in MS Excel. Knowledge of MS Access and / or SQL would be considered an advantage;
- Ability to balance rigorous technical requirements and business mind-set to be solutions oriented.
- The internship duration will be a minimum of 2 months (beginning May/June)
