About the Role

 

As a Regulatory Risk Manager, you will assess Singaporean and international regulatory developments affecting Swiss Re's business in Asia and support the representation of Swiss Re's interests in related regulatory expert groups and industry associations in Singapore. Focus will be on local as well as regional regulatory relationship management. This will further increase with the establishment of Swiss Re Asia as the regional headquarter. You will also be required to communicate with a number of key functions within Swiss Re including senior management.

 

Key Responsbilities:

  • Monitor and understand key Singaporean and international regulatory developments
  • Support the Regulatory Risk Management Asia team in representing Swiss Re's interest on regulatory developments
  • Assume responsibility for a growing number of regulatory reporting to MAS
  • Support the preparation of all interactions with MAS, including on-site inspections, senior level meetings, etc.
  • Maintain a complete overview and consistent documentation on all interactions and regulatory reporting requirements with MAS
  • Participate and, to a growing extent, represent Swiss Re in specific industry events and meetings as appropriate
  • Support or coordinate data calls, field testing, or consultations for both Singaporean and International matters in Asia
  • Support the preparation of briefing material and presentations for members of Swiss Re's Asia Executive Committee and/or Board of Directors
  • Contribute or coordinate internal reports and presentation (e.g. Group Risk Update, Investor Relations Q&A, Group Regulatory Risk Report, etc.)
  • Engage in projects and initiatives within Risk Management
  • Maintain close contact and cooperation with key internal stakeholder teams in the Business Units,  Finance, Legal & Compliance, Risk Management and other internal parties

 

About You

 

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in financial services industry with a Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent
  • Experience gained within the re/insurance industry is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in dealing with external stakeholders
  • Strong team player and willingness to share knowledge and information
  • Willingness and ability to grow into a more responsible role
  • Good communication skills, orally and in writing in English. Any additional Asian language would be a plus
  • Strong organizational and process management skills ideally with some experience with data science
  • Ability to summarize complex issues into concise memos/presentations
  • Ability to present and communicate well
