 About the Role

As part of CorSo's Innovative Risk Solutions (IRS) team, the position holder will support the IRS APAC team in origination, structuring and execution of all types of non-standard solutions for corporate entities, reporting to the Head Innovative Risk Solutions APAC. Innovative product offerings include tailor-made re/insurance, captive solutions, parametric covers, run-off and many others.

Key Responsibilities

  • As part of the IRS APAC team lead drive the origination, structuring and execution of new and renewal transactions

  • Sell and market Innovative Risk Solutions together with our colleagues to brokers and clients.

  • Enable growth of economic profit by generating and encouraging a strong deal pipeline.

  • Ensure that SRCS's IRS team is known in the market as a consistent and reliable partner for innovative risk and capital management solutions.

  • Lead interdisciplinary deal teams.

  • In collaboration with regional client and distribution management colleagues, the Underwriting Teams and the local CEOs, establish and meet plan objectives.

  • In collaboration with all stakeholders ensure best practice underwriting.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accounting, tax and legal requirements and adherence to Swiss Re Group Guidelines and Guidance in place – to mitigate reputational risk.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key internal parties and external clients, brokers risk and captive managers.


About You


Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in the APAC insurance market.

  • Working experience in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment.

  • Significant and multifaceted experience in the direct insurance market either in Underwriting, Actuarial, Risk Management or Broking, complemented by an genuine interest in structuring and executing innovative risk transfer solutions.

Technical Skills

  • Proven know-how of traditional and innovative re/insurance products and markets.

  • Strong financial acuity with capital management / Solvency proficiency.

  • Strong analytical capabilities.

Leadership Skills

  • Strong entrepreneurial attitude and focus on execution, bias towards closing deals.

  • Self-starter being able to work independently

  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Outstanding influencing and negotiation skills to drive sophisticated solutions over the finish line.

  • Sound, strategic and consistent decision-making skills.

  • Strong networking skills.

  • Great teammate with the ability to work well in a virtual team environment

Language Skills

  • Fluency in English required and good command of at least one other language

Educational Experience:

  • Master degree in economics, corporate finance or mathematics, or equivalent education.

Other considerations

  • Willingness to travel.
