About the Role

 

Would you like to help us shape the global working environment for the corporate actuarial function in L&H Business Management?

 

We offer you a great opportunity to design and implement a common global valuation and reporting process, driving greatly improved standardisation and efficiency across our global operations. You will ensure this is then translated into usable training material, to further embed the process at the core of the regional Valuation teams.

 

Main duties

 

  • Lead the further development and maintenance of the global actuarial process, documentation and training materials
  • Be accountable for the design, development and rollout of all elements of the global actuarial process and for user training, communication and overall assessment of system dependencies
  • Closely collaborate with the Global Actuarial Systems team lead, modelling leads, actuarial unit heads and their delegates, key ATLAS/IETV L&H leads, L&H Products colleagues, IT leads and teams
  • Ensure actuarial system developments are actioned and that ultimate system design is fit-for-purpose, so that projections and reserving calculations can be undertaken with the appropriate level of technical rigour, and to ensure an efficient workflow within Actuarial and between the different functional teams
  • Drive the alignment of all regions to a common global process and system usage
  • Challenge legacy approaches across regions in order to reach common alignment and agreement to global standard approaches

About You

 

  • Qualified actuary with meaningful experience.
  • Effective at working with virtual cross-functional teams.
  • Good knowledge of the end-to-end reporting process.
  • Driven to deliver ambitious targets and effective at generating enthusiasm for the same.
  • Proactive and able to work within an uncertain and continually evolving environment.
