About the role

As an Auditor in Group Internal Audit (GIA), you will be assigned to audit activities related to the Corporate Solutions (CorSo) Business Unit. The role provides a unique opportunity to learn about new areas across the Corporate Solutions Business Unit globally as well as the Swiss Re enterprise.  You will assess the effectiveness of processes and controls and utilize your talents and knowledge to support the business in managing their risk and provide your business insights to support Swiss Re's vision of resilience. You will interact with CorSo senior leaders and leaders across the Swiss Re Group with the opportunity for travel to Swiss Re offices in various regions.  The role requires 20% travel on an annual basis.


You will be working in an audit team of two to three members for each audit and take on the ownership and responsibility for a specific area of the audit. Also, you may lead an audit including the audit team as you demonstrate experience with the GIA Audit Methodology and project management skills.  As part of the GIA CorSo team you will also contribute to the team's initiatives and projects.

About the team

Swiss Re Group Internal Audit provides independent and objective assurance that assists the Board of Directors and Group Executive Committee to protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the worldwide organization. We perform audit activities with significant use of data analytics designed to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group's and Business Units internal control systems, and to add value through improving the Group's operations.

About You

Education and experience:

  • 2 years of work experience in audit, or in risk management, or as a Swiss Re Level 1 or 2 Underwriting authority
  • CPA, CA, CIA or professional insurance certifications
  • Hands on experience performing data analytics
  • University degree

  • Critical thinker that sees the "big picture" (e.g. overall themes, trends, goals), generates innovative ideas and solutions to risks in the face of complexity, conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances. 
  • Professional communicator, able to gain and maintain a trusted relationship while delivering difficult messages and managing challenging discussions regarding audit results.
  • Analytical skills to work with large data sets in order to identify trends, outliers, etc, and the ability to analyze and contrast two or more data sets as you build your hypothesis.
  • Team worker and contributor to the overall success of the team.
