About the Role


In this role you will support in the development and the operations of Swiss Re's Group financial planning tool (Group modules) based on IBM TM1. You will apply systems solutions to business/technical problems through customer interactions. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate with strong TM1 technical skills and implementation experience who is also willing to work as a business analyst as well as use the technical implementation expertise to support the group partners in operations and developing the platform further.

About the team

The development team is principally located in Milan and the main business users are located in Zurich, whereas the users are distributed globally. We work together in a multicultural agile setup. Working in the Group Wide Financial Planning team includes meeting ambitious business requirements, insurance and reinsurance business finance specifics, a multi jurisdiction global environment (various valuations) and a complex existing IT landscape.


About You


  • You have 4+ years of relevant work experience as a TM1/Planning Analytics developer including system configuration

  • Experienced in model building, IT Processes, rules and calculations, as well as developing reports or dashboards with TM1 User interfaces

  • Detailed understanding of Cognos Framework Manager, IBM Cognos TM1 Architect, Reporting and Dashboarding

  • Implement Planning Analytics/ TM1 solutions using TM1 Rules, TI Processes, PAX, and PAW

  • Support the design, implementation and testing of security controls across implementations

  • Perform root cause analysis of technical and process issues

  • Perform technical system support, administration and maintenance of Cognos TM1 or related financial applications in support of Finance customer

  • Collaborates with Finance and Accounting teams to discuss & understand business requirements and crafts functional requirement specifications

  • Put models together, tackle issues, explain other users, more TM1 content

  • Exposure & Hands on experience on Cognos 11 Data Analytics

  • Ability to perform data discovery/quality analysis and architect a solution in TM1 based upon customer requirements using a typical Business Intelligence architecture

  • You can handle Cognos administration tasks like creating data-source connections, publishing packages, scheduling reports and deployment of packages and reports

  • Good Experience, exposure on Agile Methodologies, Process (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, DevOps)

  • Good understanding of cloud technologies

  • You have good level of communication and dedication to work in a decentralized team

  • You have self-starting attitude, can deal with stress and work independently

  • You are experienced in IT topics and tasks and passionate about new trends and developments

  • You are flexible and open for new tasks with attitude for continuous learning
