About the Role

 

We are looking for a highly motivated intern who is passionate about contributing to the Digital and Technology Strategy of Swiss Re Asset Management. The role also includes supporting various organizational transformation initiatives. You will join our diverse team in Zurich and collaborate with colleagues from New York, London, and Bratislava.

 

In particular you will:

 

  • Contribute to the development of the digital and technology strategy of Asset Management
  • Support the execution of digital and technology strategy underlying initiatives (e.g. industry collaboration & partnerships, cloud & platform strategy, FinTech guild etc.)
  • Support the organization and facilitation of Asset Management's strategic steering body of technology and analytics
  • Provide Business Management services to Asset Management COO Management (e.g. create presentations for management meetings, steering boards, etc.)
  • Bring in innovative ideas to the Agile transformation roadmap and contribute hands-on to key transformation initiatives for Asset Management such as:
    • Coordination of Quarterly Business Planning and Review sessions
    • Collection and analysis of stakeholder feedback and metrics (NPS, satisfaction rate etc.)
    • Organize learning and upskilling forums (Hackdays, Show and Tell's)
    • Engage with users in communities and increase user engagement on all platforms
    • Support organization of workshops, events and conferences

 

About the Team

 

With more than USD 120 billion of assets under management, Swiss Re Asset Management handles the assets generated through the core insurance and reinsurance business.

 

Our department is working out of four main locations spread around the globe and is running in an agile fashion without traditional hierarchies. The strategy and transformation team (called "DRIVE") is located in Zurich as well as Bratislava and supports the Head of AM IT and the AM COO on strategic topics as well as leads the delivery of all organizational transformation initiatives.

 

About You

 

  • You are doing your Master or PhD studies at the intersection of business administration / management and technology, ideally with a focus digital transformation and innovation

  • You are passionate about digital trends, strategy and people as well as organizational development and have ideally already gained first experience in this field

  • You have strong analytical and communication skills and are eager to apply your knowledge in the world of financial services

  • You drive progress independently, thrive in an environment where you have room to grow and perform and you love working in a team

  • You get things done and command excellent oral and written English, additionally German would be a plus

  • You have a strategic mind, are keen to make a difference that counts, are willing to propose creative ideas and put yourself out there for them

  • You excel in PowerPoint and able to transfer complex content into simple messages

  • Preferred: You have basic understanding about financial services, investment products, and the value chain of an asset management company

 

Duration of internship: 6 months, starting September 2021
