About the Programme


We are looking for graduates with strong interpersonal skills, who are eager to learn and broaden their knowledge and expertise.

You have a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree with up to 3 years professional experience – we invite you to apply to our graduates@swissre programme 2023.

The programme offers you the chance to join the dynamic, fast paced world of a leading risk knowledge organisation.

Over an 18-month period, you’ll receive on- and off-the-job training, including a job rotation that gives you the opportunity to work across different business divisions.


About the role


Do you like all aspects of the big picture and at the same time rolling up your sleeves to work with the team on ground to shape and implement? Are you comfortable finding solutions with guides, and bring in your knowledge to supply to the overall success?

We are looking for an individual to join L&H Solutions that has strong strategic steering capabilities. You will join us on the way to build something new. You will help shaping and steering L&H Solutions against our strategic objectives by tracking the commercialization of our solutions and providing analysis and input to ensure informed decision making in the Management Team.


Your key responsibilities:


* Coordinate and support execution of key strategic and/or operational initiatives within L&H Solutions on a global basis

* Drive, support and collaborate on selected business and operational transformations initiatives

* Monitor execution of the global L&H Solutions Strategy

* Lead and support conceptualising overarching strategic and operational reporting to senior executives, Townhall updates in close collaboration with L&H Solutions Management Team

* Implement a market intelligence approach and competitor analysis for global business development

* Collaborate risk management and governance to ensure adherence to processes and timelines in collaboration with Solutions Governance team


About the team


'Solutions' is a central pillar of the reinsurance strategy, critical both to the development of the core reinsurance activities as well as for developing new revenue streams for Swiss Re.

We help Swiss Re's insurance clients to improve their own portfolio and enable growth. Examples of

existing solutions include Swiss Re's automated underwriting platform Magnum, new automated tools and platforms to support the assessment or risks and handle claims and strategic portfolio insights based on data analytics.

We will shape the newly established division!

Business Development L&H Solutions team is a diverse, multi-national team passionate about bringing relevant solutions to market.


About You


* Successfully completed university degree, preferably in economics, finance, strategy or equivalent

* Strong interest in/motivation to learn about insurance/reinsurance

* Approaches problems with curiosity and open-mindedness, is a fast learner

* Strong problem solving and good project management skills

* Can-do attitude and passion for making a difference

* Innovative, showing a high degree of own initiative

* Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit

* Ability and enthusiasm to work in a global and multicultural environment, and to be mobile in terms of workplace or location if required

* Ability to express yourself effectively in one-on-one conversations and small groups

* Mature & self-confident; able to work with clients, business partners or senior colleagues

* Capacity to readily adapt to a changing and dynamic environment

* Experience in working independently and proactively

* Strong analytical skills and can focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture

* Excellent oral and written English skills; additional language skills advantageous

* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

* Very good communication and interpersonal skills
