About the role

As part of our Cyber Preparedness team, you drive the cyber workstream in our group-wide Operational Resilience initiative focusing on preventing, adapting, responding to, recover and learning from operational disruptions. In this role, you are working with different stakeholders and lines of business to understand the most business critical services and the impact of a global operational disruption to our core IT services. You own the way forward in making Swiss re a more cyber resilient organization by advising the business on immediate gaps and address identified gaps using a risk-based prioritization approach financially and technologically. Your responsibilities will include

  • Leading the cyber workstream in our Operational Resilience initiative. Map business critical services, understand their impact tolerances and propose actions to stay within impact tolerances;
  • Supporting the business in mapping their IT tools to core IT infrastructure components and ensure an end-to-end view established;
  • Develop scenario-based assessment methodologies to evaluate the readiness of our business critical services;
  • Understand and highlight vulnerabilities, propose and follow-up on mitigation actions of complex IT infrastructure and their inter-connectivity.

 

About you

  • Multiple years of experience in the area of IT Security, IT Service Continuity Management or Business Continuity Management;
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as the proven ability to develop long-lasting relationships, influence others, and negotiate agreements are encouraged;
  • Multifaceted individual with strong analytical and problem solving skills, possessing a forward-looking attitude and controversial approach to solve sophisticated problems in new ways;
  • A track record of designing, implementing and testing corporate business resilience capabilities in collaboration with IT teams is desired;
  • Prior experience in scenario-based exercising and piloting new cyber resilience approaches strongly desired;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT preferred;
  • Proficient in English. Other languages such as German are a plus.
