About the role


This is an outstanding opportunity to become a Senior Transactions Manager in the Continental Europe non-life Transactions team.


To reach our bold growth targets & build on our excellent momentum, we are looking for a Senior Transactions Manager . You will originate Transactions in Continental Europe and help drive them home to become profitable deals for Swiss Re.


Our Transactions stem from three main areas. Mainly, legacy business, portfolio optimization and M&A activity. Our solutions range from unlocking trapped capital to improving our clients' earnings and capital (regulatory, rating & economical) capabilities as well as reducing their downside scenarios.

In this client facing position you would be:


Originating business opportunities. Handling all aspects from origination to deal closing and taking shared responsibility for financial results.


Presenting the full spectrum of Swiss Re products and services to address client needs and meet Swiss Re’s business objectives.


Generating ideas and preparing proposals for clients, working together with inter-disciplinary teams. Preparing presentations and briefings, writing project proposals and discussion notes.


Increasing your and Swiss Re's network with all stakeholders, who have access to Transactions. This is gaining access to stakeholders within the client, brokers and alternative partners.


About the team


You will be part of a client facing team which is fully focused on finding challenges our clients can typically not address within their renewal cycle (core).


You find and solve them together with the cross functional team, depending on client, segment, underlying exposures.


You will be embedded in our diverse team of Transactions Managers and work in collaboration with colleagues from regional client management, business development, property & casualty structured solution (PCSS) & underwriting.


About you


  • Deal making mindset: Persistency and perseverance are a must. Hardworking and results focused.

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.

  • Fluent in English and able to originate deals in one or more other languages (preference for Spanish & Italian).

  • Strong understanding of reinsurance and how it affects clients P&L's as well as Balance Sheets. Affinity to Corporate Finance is a plus.

  • You can communicate, change minds, and make deals

  • You easily build business relationships across different cultures, sectors, and fields.

  • Curious, innovative, entrepreneurial, and with strong analytical skills.

  • Able to transfer knowledge and replicate solutions across clients and regions.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and creatively.

  • Collaborative and a great teammate.
