About the role

 

SwiftRe® is a lean business operation within Swiss Re offering Digital Facultative Reinsurance coverage in P&C, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer. It covers the full placing and managing risks process including handling of the accounting, claims and financial transactions - so true digital end to end. The legacy SwiftRe® 1.0 platform is outdated, and replacement has started. Our vision is to grow the business and to become relevant to the group while playing a critical role in the digitalization and automation transformation process by building the SwiftRe® 2.0 platform.

 

We are looking for an ambitious and hard-working team player excited by the challenge of developing SwiftRe® to bring it to the next level. Your task will be twofold: proactive marketing SwiftRe®, Facilities and expand SwiftRe®'s business by acquiring profitable business and being an active contributor to SwiftRe®2.0 development.

 

You will act as SwiftRe®'s primary point of contact for assigned internal and external clients and markets. You will represent their interests within SwiftRe® and Swiss Re. Supporting the build-up and extension of SwiftRe® will also fall within your remit, as well servicing and supporting our clients. You will play a leading role in the product development process and actively drive new business opportunities together with underwriters and client managers.

 

You will proactively take part in cross functional teams and within Division Solutions and EMEA to strengthen SwiftRe's position through active communication with existing clients and identifying new prospective clients and business segments, whilst at the same time displaying operational excellence by managing the portfolios which have been assigned to you. You will market and promote SwiftRe®/Swiss Re to clients and brokers. With your client focused personality you easily develop personal relationships and are driven by the passion to accommodate client needs by providing them with adequate, joint solutions.

 

About the team

 

SwiftRe® Team within P&C Solutions. It is a global operating team located in all the regions from Asia to Americas. The key objective of the passionate team is to build and to operate the truly Digital Reinsurance Channel and to grow the business. Being the primary contact to clients includes training, assisting and supporting clients in any SwiftRe® related topics while carefully listening to client needs concerning the digital platform.

 

About you

 

  • You have a consistent track record of client service and delivery, including serving internal or external clients

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Reinsurance Underwriting or Client management

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or equivalent quantitative/statistical fields and/or actuarial qualifications a plus

  • You bring excellent sales and marketing capabilities

  • Sound conceptual capabilities with attention to detail and at the same time focus on solutions

  • Strong desire and ability to work in an agile way in virtual, multi-national, multi-cultural, cross-company and cross-functional teams

  • Comfortable in presenting your work and reasoning in front of the stakeholders

  • Proficient in English spoken and written and a second language

  • Entrepreneurial mindset focused on generating business and delivering results while client focused
