Our target group for Junior Power apprenticeships and traineeships are secondary school leavers and high school graduates.
We offer the following vocational apprenticeships and traineeships:
- Businessman/Businesswoman (3 years)
- IT Specialist in Application Development (4 years)
- ICT Specialist (3 years)
- Mediamatics Specialist (4 years)
- Chef (3 years)
- Specialist in Restaurant Service (3 years)
- Specialist in Hotel Housekeeping (3 years)
- Hotel Housekeeping Employee (2 years)
- HMS trainee (1 year)
- PWA trainee (2 years)
Start dates in Zurich are mid-August for apprentices, 1 August for commercial high school (HMS) trainees and February or August for trainees in the commercial training programme for high-school graduates (PWA).
Depending on their type of training, apprentices and trainees will work either in re/insurance or in operations (HR, IT, Logistics etc).
In line with your field, Swiss Re offers internal workshops, language courses and project weeks in addition to the mandatory courses of the selected traineeship or apprenticeship.
In Zurich or Adliswil, depending on the placement.
As an apprentice or trainee, you need to be a self-starter to find a position with Swiss Re after finishing your programme. We guide and support this process proactively, as it is also in the interest of Swiss Re to retain successful graduates of our apprenticeship and traineeship programmes.
We have 100 trainees and apprentices in Zurich learning a range of vocations, and thereby make a significant contribution to the personal as well as the professional development of young people.
