Underwriting Operations Associate- Surety

About the Team

We work together to provide Operational support to the Underwriting functions of the North America Surety division.  We handle tasks ranging from the review of incoming submissions to problem resolution with internal and external Clients.  Underwriting Associates are known for their agility, dedication to customer service, and critical thinking skills.

 

 

About the Role

You would work closely with Internal and External Clients to research discrepancies, service supply requests, and provide Customer Support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and organize detailed source documents from external Clients applying standard guidelines and procedures to determine next steps.
  • Communicate with colleagues and clients in timely responses to inquiries regarding files, records, and other documentation.
  • Apply appropriate SOPs to related work while adhering to established Service Level Agreements for the applicable business unit(s) supported.
  • Partner in developing concepts, processes, and critical success factors.

 

 

About You

You take personal accountability and are comfortable completing detailed work accurately and independently.  You enjoy learning new things and are looking for a dynamic position that affords the opportunity to structure each day slightly different than the last.  Your strong interpersonal skills make it easy for you to work within a team.

 

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's Degree, 4 years of equivalent work experience, or military service.
  • Competency in proofreading and reviewing work with high accuracy with regards to details.
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
  • Fully proficient in English.
  • Adept in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

 

Nice to haves:

  • Other languages, such as Swiss German.
  • Experience supporting Surety Lines.

 

 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week. 

 

The estimated base salary range for this position is $56,000 to $94,000.  The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
