Position Duties:

Support the US Traditional Life Reinsurance Valuation on the due-diligence, onboarding and ongoing monitoring and analysis of Life and Health (L&H) Reinsurance transactions. Perform prospective transaction due diligence with consideration to actuarial modelling, data management, claims, financial and regulatory reporting requirements. Define accounting and reserving treatment of prospective transaction under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), US Statutory, Swiss Regulatory, and Economic/Fair value valuation. Raise IT platform changes to support new transactions administration. Set out business requirements for actuarial modelling. Assist in the calculation and reporting of valuation results (US Statutory, US GAAP and best estimate projections). Use analysis tools to validate quarterly valuations results including statutory reserves, US GAAP reserves, and best estimate cash flows. Support the development of valuation assumptions and analysis of experience. Support the advancement of planning and earnings analysis techniques to deliver transparent insights on business performance. Respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders. Support other ad hoc projects and developing process efficiencies. Support the building and maintenance of the valuation and projection systems and actively support the implementation of changes to the reporting environment

 

Degree Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field

 

Experience Requirements:

2 years of experience in the position offered or related occupation

 

Other Special Requirements:

Life reinsurance experience in costing, experience analysis, valuation or assumption development; Life and Health (L&H) insurance products and related valuation requirements; Statutory Accounting (STAT), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), tax valuation regulations, and accounting principles; Reinsurance structures, risk transfer, and capital management solutions; Experience reporting of Economic or Embedded Value valuation; Experience with actuarial modeling tools including GGY AXIS and MG ALFA; and Visual Basic and SAS
