Audit Manager
As an Audit Manager with a focus on Reinsurance and Insurance in Group Internal Audit (GIA), you will leverage your experience across the end-to-end value chain while contributing to a broad range of audit activities. You will regularly engage with senior stakeholders and functional leaders across multiple business units.
This role offers the opportunity to address themes with enterprise-wide impact and to help shape and strengthen the risk culture at Swiss Re.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Audit Director for Re/Insurance audits to engage relevant stakeholders, continuously update risk assessments, and help shape the bi-annual audit plan.
- Lead and execute a portfolio of audits, taking ownership of select engagements from planning through reporting, while contributing as a key team member on others. Drive high-quality, risk-focused audit delivery by effectively managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring audits are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Leverage your expertise to contribute to audit planning, enhance re/insurance subject matter knowledge within the team, and strengthen the quality of audit observations and insights.
- Act as a role model by challenging and coaching audit team members to deliver at a high standard and continuously improve.

GIA provides independent and objective assurance to support the Board of Directors and Group Executive Committee in protecting Swiss Re’s assets, reputation, and sustainability. About You

Additional Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in external and/or internal audit or related roles within the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of property & casualty business, including treaty and facultative reinsurance, as well as specialty lines
- Degree in accounting, actuarial science, business, or another finance-related field
- Deep understanding of the (re)insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of risk, governance, and controls, as well as internal audit methodologies, audit project management, and continuous risk assessment frameworks
- Proven experience managing stakeholders and audit teams in a global, matrixed organization
CPA, CA, CIA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus
Our company operates under a hybrid work model, with the expectation that employees work from the office three days per week. Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship/visa transfers/visa extension or relocation support.
The estimated base salary range for this position for Armonk, NY, is $120,000 to $200,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
