The Standard Business team has been established to bring simplicity and efficiency to our clients, intermediaries and colleagues through innovative use of data and technology. We believe that by creating standard products, we can meet clients' and intermediaries' needs better, while at the same time operate at a low expense ratio. Customers will experience products and a customer journey that is consistent, easier to understand and reliable.


As a Business Architect, you will play a key role in building global capabilities for CorSo's Standard Business with an initial product launch in North America followed by other market rollouts. You will support the NA standard business proposition owner in defining how the proposed products. You will do this by designing holistic and customer centric solutions considering business, technology, process and data dimensions.


You will be part of an incubator set up that is highly dynamic, entrepreneurial and cross functional, and will collaborate with colleagues from the Innovation & Transformation, Operations, IT and Products functions. In this role, you will also act as a glue and synthesize deliverables from different functions to achieve a common vision and goal.



Your key responsibilities include:

  • Achieve target expense ratio for standard business by increasing efficiency and customer value via designing holistic solutions considering customer journey, internal processes, systems & data;
  • Design and drive end to end architecture for Standard Business including connectivity to front end digital platform, backend core systems and integration points
  • Drive and facilitate ideation sessions with multiple stakeholders for solving complex problems or identifying capabilities using techniques such as design thinking
  • Advise on feasibility, design, benefits and strategic fit of solution options considering cost v/s benefit
  • Create and manage business capability, data, process and technology inventories and ensure end to end consistency
    Other responsibilities include:
  • Support business and operating model design along with key stakeholders and in line with the end to end capability build
  • Support business process management team in design of customer journeys and business process mapping to ensure they are embedded/complemented in technology solutions
  • Support downstream (Core backend) technology team in translating business architecture solutions to technology solutions
  • Support Information model & data office

About You:


  • You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in insurance and/or technology industry
  • You have an ability to interpret and contextualize business strategy to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution
  • You have successful track record of implementing business - technology transformation and achieving consistent, verifiable business result
  • In-depth understanding of end-to-end business processes and value chain in P&C primary insurance
  • Solid understanding of P&C primary insurance system landscape and obstacles represented by digitalization
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills showing a high level of effectiveness when working with senior management and key external stakeholders is important
  • You have strong analytical skills, and take on problems strategically in a structured way, integrating your own original and creative ideas and those of others. You can do this on a high level and engage in significant detail to make sure ideas are realistic and pragmatic
  • Entrepreneurial and able to demonstrate commercial acumen when driving business-technology decisions
  • Clear and effective communication with senior business leaders and project teams
  • Fluent in English
