Project Manager - Senior Business Consultant (Hybrid)

About the Role 

You will work with senior business leaders and stakeholders from all functions on business transformation activities. You will plan, execute and control activities to design and deliver new products, services, applications and people change.  You will support a variety of projects from operational improvements to innovation strategies.  You will enable or be the key driver of global initiatives, while also act as key linking pin to the needs of our Americas offices in those.

You will have an opportunity to build a powerful portfolio of exciting and rewarding experiences. You will master new skills, and work across different fields, move into new challenges and quickly develop a robust understanding of our business operations across the value chain. This will allow you to build strong internal network and influence decision-making at different organizational levels.

 

About the Team

We are small, experienced and globally distributed team acting as the first point of contact for our Property & Casualty Business to structure, coordinate and hands-on support transformation initiatives. We align people, process and technology with the business strategy and vision. We collaborate with stakeholders across all of Swiss Re. The P&C Consulting team is part of P&C Re Business Excellence.

  

About You

 

Must haves:

  • A consultative demeanor, previous management consulting or professional services delivery experience of 5+ years
  • Training and experience in methodologies to design, execute, and lead projects of varying size and complexity (e.g. Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Problem Solving, Change Management and Process Engineering)
  • Experience analyzing, articulating, and defining the requirements of business ideas; driving data gathering and evaluation, assess and redesign processes as well as developing specific artefacts to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate complex ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively to diverse stakeholders. Adept at active listening, facilitating discussions, and tailoring messages to drive alignment and decision-making
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, work with integrity and a positive attitude, willing to learn and connect, flexible to adapt, have a "can-do" approach

 

Nice to have:

 

  • (Re)Insurance knowledge
  • Project or Change Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE 2, PROSCI)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or similar process engineering qualification
  • Agile, Scrum, SAFe or Kanban methodologies training and experience (e.g. CSM, PSM, SAFe, etc.)

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week.  This role is not eligible for either relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.

 

 

 

For Armonk, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $116,000 to $186,000.  The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.  At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
