Release Manager

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office two to three days per week on average. 

 

About the Role

 

Are you an Agile Enthusiast?   Do you enjoy pulling pieces together to ensure a high-quality delivery to our customers.  As a release manager you are at center of where work comes together, and you are responsible for ensuring that items are completed in a timely fashion and move seamlessly throughout our systems.

 

About the Team

 

Communicate, Coordinate and Verify team delivery to ensure successful timely Software Development Releases.  Drive and enforce practices that preserve our high standards of coding, testing and delivery to meet our customer needs.  Work with stakeholders across the organization to mitigate and resolve issues.

 

About You

Must possess:

  • Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or (SPC) or (SM) Scrum Master certification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience utilizing the above certification in a professionalsoftware development IT organization
  • Experience with using and customizing Agile collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps/VSTS, JIRA, CA Rally, Trello, etc.

 

Should Possess:

  • Ability to coach team and stakeholders on agile practices and ensure adherence to agile methodology
  • Able to resolve conflicts; strong mediation skills. Strong communication skills, to deliver complex messages and teach new concepts
  • Strong problem solver with ability to coach and mentor a team to maximize progress and potential
  • Skilled at analytic and status summation tools such as Power BI for reporting, MS Project, MS Office, MS Teams/Planner, SharePoint/Wiki Confluence collaboration

 

For Armonk, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $144,000.  The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.  At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
