About the Role
As an Analytics Analyst, you'll be at the intersection of data science and business strategy, uncovering valuable insights that directly impact our growth objectives. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities where data can solve complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities by working with stakeholders throughout the GDM organization to leverage data for innovative business solutions
- Analyze and mine data from Sales Analytics databases to drive efficiency improvements and meet growth objectives
- Evaluate and assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
- Develop and automate reports and iteratively build dashboards to provide insights at scale, addressing key business priorities
- Create monitoring tools and processes to analyze model performance and ensure data accuracy
- Stay current with the latest advancements in Gen AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data science processes
- Deliver impactful presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, creating compelling visual displays of quantitative information
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively by soliciting ideas, prioritizing needs, and managing expectations
About the Team
You will be part of the GDM Analytics team, with responsibility to support all efforts to enhance our team's sales data analytics capabilities. You will coordinate our efforts and actions with nine market units, maintaining constant client and broker focus with particular emphasis on our growth initiatives and sales campaigns.

You combine technical expertise with strong communication skills, allowing you to translate analytical findings into business value. You're proactive, adaptable, and eager to continuously expand your knowledge in this rapidly evolving field.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- 3 to 5 years of work experience with analysis applications (extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, solving business problems) and coding (Python, R, SQL)
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on solution development
- Experience manipulating data and drawing insights from large datasets using Python, R, or SQL
- Proficiency in basic machine learning libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn
These are additional nice to haves:
- Commercial Insurance industry experience
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data wrangling techniques
- Solid understanding of probability concepts, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
- Knowledge of various machine learning techniques (clustering, ensembles, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
- Self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per wee
