About the Role:
This role will need hands-on technical role responsible for supporting and enhancing business-critical platforms through data-driven engineering, automation, and operational excellence.
This role brings together analytics engineering, data engineering, production support, and continuous improvement to ensure platform stability, improve efficiency, deliver better data insights, and support modernization initiatives.
The role combines analytics engineering with L3 production support, data transformation, automation, and operational ownership of business-critical treasury data flows.
The position works closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders in a globally distributed environment, with a strong focus on treasury systems, financial data flows, analytics-ready datasets, and SQL-based data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL standards performing structured root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements.
- Utilize advanced SQL for data analysis, reconciliation and issue investigation. Optimizing queries and improving data performance and efficiencies
- Design and maintain analytics-ready datasets, transformation logic, and data quality checks to support reporting, reconciliation, AI initiatives, and Power BI model evolution.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts. Supporting ETL processes and batch scheduling systems. Identifying opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Work within Agile frameworks using Azure DevOps
- Contribute to data enrichment and reporting enhancements. Gain exposure to treasury systems and financial messaging platforms.
About the Team
You will join the Cash Management IT team within Treasury InfoTech, responsible for the systems that manage Swiss Re’s global cash positions.
Our platform ensures funds are available for trading and operational payments, connected with key trading systems like Aladdin and Apex. It also works with our Financial Messaging Hub to send payments and receive bank balances.
You’ll be part of a global, collaborative team working closely with business and engineering partners to keep these critical systems running smoothly and continuously improving them.
The team follows Agile and DevOps practices and is actively transitioning toward a cloud-first architecture (Microsoft Azure).
About You
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL (data investigation, reporting, optimization)
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, including dataset preparation and data model support.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a globally distributed team environment
- Strong communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., PowerCenter or similar)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Knowledge of Treasury, Cash Management, or Financial Systems
