Analytics Solutions Engineer

About the team

 

To extend our existing Group Data Services (GDS) Analytics Solutions team, we are looking for a motivated Software and Platform Engineer with a strong focus on data to build and own scalable platforms, end-to-end solutions, and services in information retrieval, text mining, predictive analytics, and Large Language Models (LLM).

 

Our new colleague will work in an Agile environment in a tight collaboration with internal and external experts, as well as business clients to support, organize and manage various activities within the team.

 

In your role, you will…

 

  • Lead smaller projects and contribute to the end to end solution implementation
  • Design solution architecture embedded in the wider enterprise context to meet the business needs
  • Proactively identify potential for continuous improvement of existing solutions
  • Ensure timely customer communication and coordination of follow-up activities
  • Apply and implement Agile Scrum and DevOps best practices while driving the project forward
  • Build up sustainable relationships with key business and IT stakeholders to become a trusted partner in the field of information retrieval and big data/document analytics

 

 

 

 

About You

 

Your qualifications

 

What we need from you

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Professional experience in software development in an enterprise environment, with strong Java programming skills
  • Understanding of enterprise software landscape, including distributed systems, big data, security, and high-traffic architecture
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, API programming, Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud or similar cloud providers
  • A background or interest in data science, particularly in natural language processing/understanding
  • Knowledge of or experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and related engineering practices
  • Prior exposure to public cloud environments, with an affinity for Azure Cloud solutions

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is XXXX EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
