Solutions Architect

About the role:

This role is in a dynamic, fast growing and challenging environment within a global business solutions center of Swiss Re (world's leading reinsurance company), supporting high growth in the fast-developing markets through the application of innovative technology & digital solutions. In this role, you will be part of Intelligent Automation Center (IAC) of Excellence – the team is responsible for making processes ready for automation along with identification, design, deployment and maintenance of RPA/IPA based robots across Swiss Re's global functions and lines of business. Our platform of choice is UiPath; hence, all the robots are designed and maintained using this platform. This role will have multiple avenues of responsibilities –

  • Be responsible for streamlining a process to make it ready for automation, overseeing robot design and delivery starting from identification of an opportunity to design, deployment and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of robots.
  • Ensure that robots are 100% compliant with the required governance process and standards.
  • Lead projects for building robots keeping a major focus on project management including but not limited to stakeholders' management, communication of project updates to operation staff and senior management.
  • You should have an optimal mix of business process, project management and IT skills.

  • Design and Deliver Automated Solutions:
    • Identify and assess opportunities with impact on the entire value chain.
    • Analyze and document the business processes to a keystroke level.
    • Design, architect, implement, deploy robots in an Agile environment.
    • Develop and oversee monitoring solutions for production stability issues.

 

  • Project Manage & re-engineer processes:
    • Re-engineer the process for a post automation scenario.
    • Take up end to end project management and delivery responsibility.
    • Establish a good working relationship with senior stakeholders.
    • Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact.
    • Applying change control and configuration management processes.
    • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary.

 

  • Drive Digital Transformation & Innovation:
    • Provide input for continually improving our procedures used in the assessment, implementation, and operation of robots.
    • Participate in the development of new offerings and innovation in the automation space including but not limited to process mining, document ingestion and machine learning enabled solutions.

 

About You:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in project management, change management, RPA/software development, process improvement and business process analysis.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to clearly document and explain business processes and automated solution designs and to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • Hands on experience of working with UiPath Comprehensive and evident understanding of Microsoft Technology (VB, .NET, Windows, Internet Explorer, Web Services, Cloud, SaaS).
  • Ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind and aptitude for problem solving.
  • Understanding formal change control procedures and disciplines.
  • Financial / insurance services experience and/or service operations expertise an asset.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in science, engineering, computer Science, business administration or any other related disciplines.
  • Certification in UiPath Automation Suite.
  • Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), process improvement (Lean, 6σ), Agile, scrum methodology considered an asset.
