Associate Data Product Analyst
About the role:
In this role, your key business responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, such as Technical Accounting, Experience Studies, Valuation, and Inforce Optimization, to gather and document product requirements
- Translate product requirements into clear and actionable user stories or product specifications
- Develop and implement tactical data products using available tools and support user onboarding
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations
- Develop and maintain key metrics to measure product success
- Analyze data to identify trends and patterns that can inform product decisions
- Understand L&H Re systems and processes to advise and assist IT in system enhancements and migrating tactical products into strategic ones
- Design, map, and code complex and unique client data setups
About the Team:
The Data Management & Insights [DMI] team is part of Business Excellence delivering on the promise of a stable end-to-end operating platform for Life & Health Reinsurance [L&H Re]. Their mission is to make client data accessible to stakeholders by systematically acquiring and ingesting it. The team utilizes advanced analytics techniques to generate valuable insights for L&H Re. With a continuous improvement mindset, they strive to enhance data, systems, and processes for both their own use and their stakeholders.
About you:
- Bachelor of Science degree with 3 + years of relevant experience
- Proficient in data mapping, ETL processing, and data integration
- Proficient in SQL, Python/R coding
- Good understanding of relational databases, such as Oracle and SQL Server
- Experience in handling large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- Experience working in Waterfall and Agile projects, while leading projects being a plus
- Hands-on experience with Data Integration tools (e.g. Palantir) and techniques (e.g. EDA, predictive & prescriptive analysis), and visualization software such as Power BI
- Proven strategic, analytical, and conceptual thinking abilities
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to stakeholders clearly and concisely
