Associate Security Engineer

About the role
As an SAP Authorization HANA & Cloud Specialist, you will be working in a team responsible for security, authorization, and governance on a very large and diverse landscape of SAP systems. Your focus will be on HANA (database) and the Cloud systems in the landscape. 

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Design, development, operation and governance of identities, access, and authorizations
  • Develop standard operation procedures and guidelines 
  • Act as a central point of contact for topics 
  • Evaluate business requirements and suggest solutions how to implement them
  • Develop access and authorizations within a release and change management framework
  • Develop and maintain access products to ensure compliance, efficient and timely provisioning of access throughout the landscape
  • Monitor, track and resolve incidents related to security and authorizations
  • Providing extended support during upgrade, go-live and hyper-care periods 
  • Evaluate risk and implement controls to harden the security of the system landscape
  • Assist Business and IT during audit reviews

 

About the team
Swiss Re is approximately halfway through a large rollout of an S/4HANA system for all its business units. In parallel, together with SAP we have co-innovating an industry specific solution for an integrated multi-valuations general ledger. The Access team supports both the build (project) and the run (operations) of these two systems together with all other related applications, platforms, and infrastructure. 

 

The main responsibilities of the Access team are:

  • Develop and maintain identities and permissions in the following systems
    • S/4HANA
    • HANA database
    • BW (Analysis Authorizations)
    • Fiori (Catalog and Groups) 
    • SAP Process Orchestration (PO)
    • XS Advanced (XSA)
    • Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)
    • Solution Manager
    • ChaRM (Transport management)
    • SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
    • Central User Administration
    • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
    • SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC)
    • SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
    • SAP Integration Suite 
    • Microsoft Azure Portal
    • Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Utilize ServiceNow as a Change, Incident, Task and Access Request tool
  • Utilize the Xiting suite of software to enhance and improve security and authorizations
  • Utilize Fastpath to advice and support business on their Segregation of Duties controls framework

 

About you
You must have the following skills

  • Basic knowledge and experience with identities, access, and authorizations in S/4HANA 
  • Good knowledge and experience with identities, access, and authorizations in at least one of the above listed Cloud solutions. 
  • Very good knowledge and experience with identities, access, and authorizations in HANA (Database)
  • Fluent in English in written and spoken 

 

Other good skills to have

  • Knowledge and experience with identities, access, and authorizations in Fiori
  • Knowledge and experience with identities, access, and authorizations in HANA Database
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Motivated to learn and explore new technologies 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, creative, and passionate about SAP security

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
