Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all internal and external stakeholders on reporting requirements related to regional regulatory adherence across Asia & Pacific
- Apply deep Subject Matter Expertise in Underwriting Operations support (Non-Life) to link data sources across systems, generate reports, and submit them in strict adherence to defined timelines and specifications
- Provide functional guidance to team members on underwriting operations processes and reporting standards
- Conduct thorough quality checks on underwriting operations support processes, ensuring accurate data, reliable reporting, and robust control adherence prior to submission to regulators and third parties
- Perform data analysis and communicate findings and insights clearly to relevant stakeholders
- Identify deviations and errors, follow through on corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with external service providers on daily operational activities, ensuring adherence to SLAs and consistently meeting or exceeding KPIs
- Support audit activities by preparing and presenting requested information to auditors in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage stakeholder relationships and deliver global reporting with clarity and precision
- Ensure the effectiveness of audit and quality control frameworks, promoting compliance with the Division's control standards
- Proactively collaborate with the Risk and Control team to drive governance and compliance topics across the team
- Support UAT planning and execution, regional and global project deployments, and business continuity exercises
- Collaborate with Underwriting Agents (UAs) and MGA Managers to implement efficient and effective processes
- Facilitate training and access management initiatives and respond to ad hoc reporting requirements
About the Team
You'll be joining the CorSo Central Operations APAC team — a dynamic group sitting at the core of Swiss Re's Direct/Primary insurance operations across the Asia & Pacific region. Our team plays a vital role in anticipating and managing a wide variety of risks — from natural catastrophes and climate change to cybercrime. We combine deep operational expertise with creative thinking and a pioneering spirit to deliver solutions that make a real difference for our clients and the world. You'll work in a truly collaborative, cross-cultural environment where your contributions are valued, your ideas are heard, and your growth is supported.
About You
You are a detail-oriented, analytically minded professional who brings a strong sense of ownership and accountability to everything you do. You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments, communicate with confidence across cultures and seniority levels, and are energised by the challenge of turning data into actionable insights. You bring a collaborative spirit, a customer-first mindset, and the agility to adapt as priorities evolve.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, combined with a minimum of 7–10 years of experience in Underwriting Operations support (Non-Life insurance)
- Strong data analytics capabilities with hands-on proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, or equivalent platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory reporting and compliance within the Asia Pacific insurance landscape, with the ability to manage end-to-end reporting cycles independently
- Proven experience in operational oversight, including quality control, SLA management, and audit support in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- Excellent business communication skills — both verbal and written — with the ability to engage effectively across cultures and with global stakeholders
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience collaborating with outsourced delivery partners or external service providers
- Familiarity with UAT processes and supporting system or project deployments
- Exposure to MGA (Managing General Agent) or Underwriting Agent frameworks
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences
- Experience facilitating training programmes or supporting access management initiatives
- Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) processes and exercises
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation with cross-functional teams
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
