Cloud System Engineer
About the Role
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and scalability of our company's cloud systems and infrastructure. You will shape the technology platform that fulfils our business and product vision, ultimately bring value to our customers and partners by redefining the traditional insurance proposition. This will require tackling complex problems in a multi-tenant, distributed infrastructure by designing, implementing, and testing highly automated solutions that guarantee the level of scalability, reliability, and performance expected from customer-facing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, Drive implement solutions and manage infrastructure components on Cloud.
Utilize extensive knowledge of cloud components to optimize infrastructure setups.
Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code practices for efficient system management.
Understand technicalities of a Financial Domain and implement solutions in complex hybrid cloud environment .
Oversee upgrade, disaster recovery, and patching activities for systems hosted on Cloud.
Deploy Cloud native solutions and seamlessly integrate them with On premises solutions.
Design robust solutions to ensure the high availability and fault tolerance of the cloud infrastructure.
Troubleshoot Production issues with regards to infrastructure and provide Root Cause Analysis.
About the Team
You will join a team of 10, engineering and supporting solutions in Microsoft Azure. You will provide your technical expertise in engineering of new products as well as improving existing ones using innovative and practical approaches aligned with the governance standards and current methodologies.
About You
A fast, continuous-learning problem-solver with passion for infrastructure engineering and development of distributed systems with ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
Essentials
Proven experience in setting up and managing SAP landscapes on Cloud preferably Azure.
Strong understanding of Cloud components and services.
Experience in handling Linux Operating Systems with knowledge in Bash and PowerShell for scripting.
Strong knowledge in Enterprise Networking, Storage & Backup and expertise in troubleshooting production issues.
Knowledge of Cluster based systems and failover technologies with Minimal downtime.
Hands-on experience with automation preferably ansible and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar technologies.
Expertise in upgrade, high availability, disaster recovery, and patching activities on Virtual Machines.
Knowledge of Cloud concept of secure landing zone for robust system security.
Nice To Have
Relevant certifications in Azure and SAP technologies (Preferably AZ-104 or AZ-120).
Previous experience in large-scale SAP migrations to Cloud.
Knowledge in Azure native solutions like ANF and Backup for SAP environments would be a bonus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
