About the team – Strategic Development (SD) India:
- We enable SR India's journey towards becoming a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to Swiss Re Group by shaping the strategic agenda and direction of the center's journey working with the location leadership team, multiple business leaders and steering bodies. The team drives various strategic initiatives and projects that deliver the needed impact
- We also deliver impactful Group-wide projects which help Swiss Re's Business Units and Group Functions meet their Must Wins and thereby enabling Swiss Re to meet its overall strategic objectives.
- The team comprises of experts with diverse leadership, consulting and an array of capabilities which help them manage multiple portfolios of projects and initiatives that enable management decisions and deliver high impact results
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile professional to lead and execute strategic communications, community engagement, and manage strategic initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping the internal and external positioning of our India locations, supporting leadership visibility, and driving high-impact initiatives that foster collaboration, culture, and strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Communications & Leadership Positioning
- Develop and execute internal communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences including leadership, functional teams, and broader employee groups.
- Craft compelling narratives, talking points, and content for leadership communications, townhalls, newsletters, and intranet platforms.
- Partner with location leaders to enhance their visibility and positioning through curated messaging, event presence, and stakeholder engagement.
- Community Engagement & Culture Building
- Design and implement community engagement programs that foster inclusion, collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging.
- Lead initiatives such as recognition programs and employee engagement events aligned with company values.
- Drive planning, execution, and reporting of key programs including leadership development forums and external client visits.
- Ensure delivery of strategic priorities through structured project management, stakeholder coordination, and impact tracking.
- Act as a thought partner in shaping the location’s strategic agenda and showcasing capabilities to global stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in communications, community engagement and project management roles, preferably in a global or matrixed organization.
- Proven track record in managing initiatives that span across leadership enablement, internal comms, and employee engagement.
- Strong writing, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with platforms like Yammer, SharePoint, and internal branding tools is a plus.
