Do you have a passion for crafting compelling narratives and driving initiatives that bring people together? If so, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact at one of the world's leading reinsurance companies.

About the Role

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will be at the heart of shaping how Swiss Re India communicates, connects, and grows. This pivotal role blends communications, leadership enablement, and community engagement to strengthen the internal and external positioning of our India locations. You will also work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive high-impact initiatives that foster collaboration, culture, and strategic alignment — making Swiss Re India a truly world-class Centre of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Communications & Leadership Positioning

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences including leadership, functional teams, and broader employee groups
  • Craft compelling narratives, talking points, and content for leadership communications, townhalls, newsletters, and intranet platforms
  • Partner with location leaders to enhance their visibility and positioning through curated messaging, event presence, and stakeholder engagement

Community Engagement & Culture Building

  • Design and implement community engagement programs that foster inclusion, collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging
  • Lead initiatives such as recognition programs and employee engagement events aligned with company values
  • Drive planning, execution, and reporting of key programs including leadership development forums and external client visits
  • Ensure delivery of strategic priorities through structured project management, stakeholder coordination, and impact tracking
  • Act as a thought partner in shaping the location's strategic agenda and showcasing capabilities to global stakeholders

About the Team

The Strategic Development (SD) India team plays a central role in enabling Swiss Re India's journey towards becoming a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the Swiss Re Group. The team shapes the strategic agenda and direction of the centre's journey, working closely with location leadership, multiple business leaders, and steering bodies to drive impactful strategic initiatives and projects.

Beyond the India agenda, the team also delivers high-impact Group-wide projects that help Swiss Re's Business Units and Group Functions meet their Group Priorities — directly contributing to Swiss Re's overall strategic objectives. The team is made up of experts with diverse backgrounds spanning leadership, consulting, and a broad array of capabilities, enabling them to manage multiple portfolios of projects and initiatives that support management decisions and deliver measurable, high-impact results.

About You

You are a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach — someone who can zoom out to see the big picture while rolling up your sleeves to get things done. You are an empathetic communicator with a genuine flair for building communities and culture, and you bring a collaborative mindset that allows you to influence and inspire across levels and functions. You are comfortable navigating a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities, and you bring both creativity and rigour to everything you do.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • 7–10 years of experience in communications, community engagement, and project management roles, preferably within a global or matrixed organization
  • Proven track record in managing initiatives that span leadership enablement, internal communications, and employee engagement
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to craft messages that resonate across diverse audiences

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience with platforms such as Yammer, SharePoint, and internal branding tools
  • A strategic mindset combined with practical execution capabilities
  • Experience working in a financial services, reinsurance, or professional services environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across levels and geographies
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving priorities in a dynamic global organization

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
