Corporate Actuarial Analyst
About the Role:
- Deliver quarterly valuation results for ANZ business to the relevant Reporting Actuaries, ownership of other reserving tasks such as capital reporting runs and sensitivities
- Prepare first level analysis of assumption change and data change runs
- Perform user acceptance testing upon actuarial systems
- Ownership around ensuring quality data submitted into the subledger systems and IFRS17 engines
- Support ANZ region on system and process improvement projects
Interface with:
- Modelling team
- Finance team
- Reporting actuaries
- Systems and IT team
Main tasks/activities/responsibilities:
- Deliver results and analysis for local and group IFRS17 reporting
- Production of Statutory & Other regulatory requirements reports.
- Ensure compliance with documented methodologies and bases.
- Work closely with team in Sydney.
- Provide support to Global Projects.
- Contribute to improved quality and efficiency of reserving process.
- Development of L&H landscape for ANZ region.
- Perform user acceptance testing upon actuarial systems in the reserving landscape
About the Team:
ANZ L&H Valuation team in Bangalore majorly supports in valuation and modelling of Austrial & New Zealand business. Team also supports on various Business valuation and landscape migration projects. The team currently have close to 14 resources supporting different BAU tasks/ project streams.
About You:
- 1+ years of experience in Actuarial.
- Strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle both conceptual and practical issues;
- Prior experience in L&H valuation or pricing experience in reinsurance or primary insurance is desirable, but not essential;
- Good verbal and written communication skills especially of complex and quantitative topics
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint (knowledge of SQL and VBA will be considered an advantage);
