Corporate Actuarial Senior Analyst

About the Role:

Exciting opportunity to be part of a diverse team involved in supporting Automated Valuation Analytics.

  • Work closely with our Regional actuarial teams, L&H IT team and other stakeholders to set up a new interface for continuous Close process
  • Working on design and requirements for new analytics platform for Actuarial L&H Valuations and then supporting on implementation and business validation of same.
  • Testing of data from the Modelled output and current Production results.
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify and drive operational changes to deliver project objective.
  • Working with IT and other global actuarial process and systems colleagues, to design and specify system and process development.
  • Develop testing plans for system/process enhancements, integrated with downstream or upstream systems as required

We aim to build a fully automated production process that continuously updates valuation results with the latest actuarial assumption and cedent data. The team will be working with experts from different business areas and specializations to deliver the benefits of real-time financial updates, reduced work effort and increase in value-added analysis.

We are looking for an experienced actuarial professional who wishes to use their technical expertise to design and build a highly effective global data interface and data enrichments to support the overall system and process build.

 

About you:  

  • 3+ years experience in actuarial role in insurance or reinsurance is required along with 5 Actuarial Exams cleared.
  • Experience of actuarial/finance system or process development required – ability to see how things should be done, not follow how they have been done before
  • Experience of statistical analysis with an ability to interpret results
  • Experience on working on Projects and Scrum team using Agile methodology.
  • Self-motivated with proven organisation skills, an ability to manage own workload and work flexibly to prioritise tasks
  • Strong Project Management Skills; strong execution along with attention to detail
  • An inquisitive mind, with experience of turning data into information, knowledge and insight
