About the team
"Generate leading insights to handle, steer and anticipate our business" is the Advanced Analytics team's vision. The Enabling Advanced Analytics Team is a team in Business Excellence and part of P&C Re Operations and is accountable for development and maintenance of P&C Re Operations Analytics landscape.
We support the pre-bind and post-bind Operations departments [Origination, Business Services (Offering and Contracts), Technical Accounting & Claims Operations, Claims Management, In-force Management and Reserving], by generating significant business insights. The team is regularly interacting with senior key stakeholders and acts as interface between the business and IT partners.
About the role
This role will be based in Bangalore where other Enabling roles are already located. The role holder will closely work with the Enabling Advanced Analytics Lead and other Enabling team members as well as IT and business stakeholders to solve business problems from a data driven perspective. The Data and Analytics specialists will also participate in projects from definition to completion and ensure the maintenance and the evolution of the analytics platform.
Key tasks

Translate business needs into specific, quantifiable questions answerable with data using robust methodologies.

Lead end-to-end solution development to create business value.

Apply statistical, algorithmic, data mining, and visualization techniques to model complex problems, identify opportunities, discover solutions, and deliver actionable business insights.

Identify and address gaps in existing datasets to improve the data collection process.

Own your projects; use autonomy to innovate, solve problems, deliver solutions, and manage stakeholders at various levels.
About you
Technical and analytics skills:
-
Master's degree in STEM, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering with strong analytical and programming skills.

A minimum of 6 years of programming experience as an individual contributor.

Strong background in advanced statistics

Proficiency in Python, R or MATLAB, PowerBI

Familiar with full-stack development and/or knowledge of cloud environment

Experience in the re/insurance industry is advantageous.
