About the Data Discovery Team
We are a team of expert business analysts, Data Architects, and software engineers, spread across multiple locations around the globe, driving the Enterprise Data Governance to enable to manage 'Data as an asset' within Swiss Re.
We work with our data experts, data owners and data consumers and provide them with well-governed data which helps to build Logical & Analytical Data Model for our Data Scientists to prepare data models and business insights.
About the Role
We are seeking a candidate with strong programming skills to join our data engineering and governance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and hands-on expertise in building Web applications. This role involves close collaboration with business and data teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Design, develop, and maintain Foundry-based applications, workflows, and data pipelines using Workshop, Code Repositories, and Contour.

Perform backend development using PySpark, Python and SQL to support data processing, transformation, and integration.

Optimize performance, manage versioning, and ensure best practices in CI/CD and source control (Git)

Develop unit tests using Pytest and follow best coding practices.
About You
-
You have a bachelor's degree in computer science.

Basic experience in frontend development using React and TypeScript.

Basic idea of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile workflows

Proficiency in Java Script, Python, SQL, and object-oriented programming for backend data processing and service development.

Basic experience with Pytest for testing.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience with Data Governance implementation is a Plus
Must Have
