About the Role
As a Data Engineer III, you'll be at the forefront of our data transformation initiatives, designingand implementing robust data pipelines in Palantir Foundry that convert raw financial data intovaluable business intelligence. You'll leverage Python and PySpark to develop efficient dataprocessing workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand businessrequirements and translate them into technical solutions that deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop complex data pipelines and ETL processes using PySpark and Pythonwithin Palantir Foundry to support financial reporting and analytics needs
Implement data models and structures in Palantir Foundry optimized for analyticalprocessing and reporting
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate theminto technical specifications for Foundry implementations
Collaborate within a global development team to design and deliver solutions
Ensure data quality by implementing robust validation and monitoring processes usingPython and PySpark
Optimize existing Palantir Foundry workflows for improved performance, reliability, andscalability
Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues in Foundry environments while implementingappropriate solutions
Document technical processes, data lineage, and system architecture within PalantirFoundry
Take ownership of end-to-end technical deliverables with minimal supervision

The Finance Reporting & Analytics Engineering team is responsible for designing andimplementing complex data pipelines and analytics solutions that support key decision-makingbusiness processes across the finance organization. Our team takes pride in delivering high-
quality data solutions that provide valuable insights to drive strategic financial decisions andoperational excellence.
About You
You're a problem-solver at heart who thrives in a collaborative environment. You have a strongtechnical foundation in data engineering with Python and PySpark combined with excellentcommunication skills that allow you to translate complex technical concepts to non-technicalstakeholders. You're proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality solutionsthat meet business needs. As a self-driving and highly motivated individual, you take initiativeand can work independently while still contributing effectively to team goals.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong focus on Python and PySpark
Advanced proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and analysis
Basic experience with data analysis using SQL
Proven experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing
Experience working with Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, Databricks or similar enterprise dataplatforms and proven experience designing and delivering large-scale data engineeringsolutions on distributed computing
Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
These are additional nice to haves:
Experience with Palantir Foundry's Code Workbooks, Transforms, and Data Integrationfeatures
Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Foundry's built-invisualization capabilities
Familiarity with financial data and reporting requirements
Experience with TypeScript
Experience in Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office atleast three days per week
