In this dynamic position, you'll blend hands-on engineering with technical leadership, guiding development teams while collaborating closely with architects to implement technology standards and best practices. You'll have the opportunity to directly impact our digital transformation journey, creating solutions that power our global reinsurance business.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead one or more technical teams implementing core business applications

Create and maintain a best-in-class developer experience for your teams

Guide and mentor teams across multiple technology stacks including Palantir Foundry and Power BI

Identify and address technical pain points, collaborating with the architecture team on solutions

Drive continuous improvement of our standard technology stack to increase efficiency in business application delivery
About the Team
Our global Reinsurance Technology team is responsible for the technical architecture and engineering of Claims and Operational Analytics for the P&C reinsurance D&T business unit. We collaborate closely with colleagues around the globe to share knowledge and develop applications and services, maintaining strong connections with our business partners.
About You
You're a passionate technologist with a problem-solving mindset who thrives on creating business impact through innovative solutions. You combine technical excellence with leadership abilities, enabling you to guide teams while staying hands-on with development work. Your collaborative approach and continuous learning mindset make you an ideal fit for our evolving technology landscape.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science or similar discipline

Minimum 10 years of experience implementing data analytics solutions

Proficiency in Python/PySpark for building and optimizing complex data pipelines
-
Strong SQL skills (particularly Spark SQL) for data querying and manipulation

Extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ELT techniques
-
Experience with Scrum and Agile development methodologies

Demonstrated leadership skills to manage and guide technical product development teams
These are additional nice to haves:

Knowledge of NodeJS and major UI frameworks (Angular, React, Svelte, etc.)

Understanding of insurance/reinsurance business concepts

Experience with Microsoft Power BI stack

Background in Machine Learning or Generative AI applications

Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities

Collaborative mindset with ability to incorporate diverse ideas and perspectives
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
