About the Role
As our Enterprise Content Management Architect, you'll be at the forefront of Swiss Re's digital transformation journey, modernizing our Documents, Records, and Customer Communications Management landscape. This strategic role combines domain architecture expertise, engineering leadership, and operational capability management to drive our migration toward cloud-native and SaaS-based architectures.
Key Responsibilities

Domain Architecture & Platform Ownership: Own and evolve the domain architecture across OpenText Documentum, Hyland Alfresco, OpenText Exstream, and Microsoft SharePoint Online while ensuring consistent application of records lifecycle management.

Cloud Migration Leadership: Support and shape the migration of on-premise ECM/RM platforms to cloud-based and SaaS offerings, assessing migration readiness and defining target-state architectural patterns.

Engineering Management: Lead engineering teams operating and supporting DRM & CCM platforms, owning BAU delivery and operational accountability while balancing platform stability with continuous architectural evolution.

Demand Management: Support structured demand intake from Legal, Compliance, Records Operations, and Business Units, translating requirements into actionable engineering work items.

Integration Architecture: Provide architectural guidance for teams operating the integration layer, ensuring synchronous and asynchronous transactions use resilient, event-driven patterns.

Cloud Architecture: Deliver architectural guidance for Azure-based deployments and multi-cloud scenarios, ensuring reliable integrations across cloud boundaries.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the technical counterpart for OpenText, Microsoft, and other strategic vendors, reviewing and validating vendor designs for SaaS migration.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

8+ years of experience in enterprise content management systems

Deep expertise with at least two of the following platforms: OpenText Documentum, Hyland Alfresco, Microsoft SharePoint Online, or OpenText Exstream

Proven experience leading cloud migration initiatives for enterprise document management systems

Strong understanding of records management principles, retention policies, and regulatory compliance requirements

Experience with microservices architecture and API-driven integration patterns
These are additional nice to haves:

Experience with Azure cloud services and multi-cloud architectures

Knowledge of React/Angular for modern UI development

Familiarity with event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing patterns

Experience working in regulated industries (financial services, insurance)

Certification in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) or ECM technologies (OpenText, Microsoft)

Experience mentoring junior engineers and building technical capabilities within teams
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
