About the Role 

As a FAC Underwriting Coordinator I, you will be at the heart of Swiss Re's Business Services - P&C Facultative underwriting operations, working closely with regional underwriters to deliver precise, timely, and high-quality support across the APAC markets. Your contributions will directly influence the productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the underwriting process  making your work both meaningful and impactful. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Understand and support the end-to-end P&C FAC underwriting process by providing both technical and operational assistance to APAC's P&C FAC Underwriters, ensuring seamless workflow and business continuity 

  • Handle submissions and pre-underwriting activities by performing thorough risk clearing and compliance-related checks (AML, ITC), setting up reinsurance risks in Swiss Re systems, and binding risks in tools as per final agreed terms 

  • Coordinate effectively with FAC P&C Desk Underwriters, FAC Hub Bangalore, and cross- functional team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of business outputs 

  • Build and nurture strong stakeholder relationships, proactively seeking feedback to drive continuous improvement for both individual and team growth 

  • Oversee Business Services processes to ensure end-to-end process effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices 

  • Monitor portfolio performance including data quality, timeliness, and key targets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards 

  • Evaluate and enhance business processes by identifying inefficiencies and contributing to process improvement initiatives that strengthen operational excellence 

  • Assist in Pre-Quote and Post Bind processes with simple renewal costing (e.g.: Roll forward & Empowered Pricing).

About You 

You are a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a solid grounding in facultative reinsurance and a genuine enthusiasm for operational excellence. You bring a collaborative mindset, cultural sensitivity, and the adaptability to thrive in a globally connected environment. You take ownership of your work, communicate with clarity and confidence, and are always looking for ways to grow and contribute to the team's success. 

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: 

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in the Insurance or Reinsurance industry, with a solid track record in operational or business services roles 

 Solid understanding of Facultative Property/Casualty insurance principles, including end-to- end underwriting process flow and a strong working knowledge of P&C reinsurance concepts 

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to leverage these tools effectively for data management, reporting, and communication 

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely across diverse, globally distributed teams 

 Strong customer-focus and service orientation, with a track record of building and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships 

  Ability to adapt quickly to changing tasks, priorities, and business environments 

 Flexibility and willingness to work during APAC time zone hours to support regional business needs 

 Experience with compliance-related checks such as AML and ITC in an insurance or reinsurance context 

 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
