Governance Manager P&C
About the Team
The P&C Re Governance team, positioned within Business Excellence as part of P&C Re Operations, plays a critical role in supporting all P&C Re business stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Operational Risk Management framework. This includes facilitating risk identification and assessment, maintaining comprehensive internal risk and controls documentation, and overseeing risk measurement and monitoring activities.
Our team is dedicated to enhancing operational risk effectiveness by providing end-to-end process oversight. We drive the simplification of the control landscape across business teams, while ensuring controls are efficient and effective. Serving as the primary point of contact for Risk Management, Compliance, and Group Internal Audit, the team works in close partnership with the Assurance Functions to foster strong collaboration and maintain robust governance standards.
About the Role

In this role, your main responsibility is to act as first point of contact for your business partners related to all their operational, Compliance and financial risk topics. This means working closely with business partners across the process value chain to continuously improve their risk and compliance framework.

You will have the opportunity to actively exchange knowledge, collaborate and support global initiatives.The role holder will closely work with Governance team members as well as business partners to further strengthen the P&C Re wide established governance framework and operating model.
• You partner with business stakeholders to maintain a robust risk and control framework that is fit for purpose now and in the future.
• You work closely with peer Senior Governance Managers across the globe to exchange insights and relevant data with the aim of strengthening the op risk control landscape.
• You pro-actively drive identification of any potential gaps in controls and identification of areas for improvement.
• You lead governance workstreams of regional or global key projects related to process improvements.
• You collaborate with all the assurance functions to drive greater value for the 1st line while ensuring a good governance framework.
• You stay calm, focused and resilient in difficult times, providing business partners and senior leaders with clarity on a way-forward.
• You express your concerns openly and in a balanced fashion.
About You
• Multi-disciplinary Reinsurance expertise with governance and operational risk focus
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with strong client orientation
• Dedicated and able to work independently as well as with global teams
• Willingness to learn, openness and flexibility to take on new tasks and challenges
• Attention to detail: You have a passion for the detail while keeping the big picture in mind
• Candidate should be able to deal with a fair amount of ambiguity e.g., ability to handle diversity and be able to work in a matrix organization
• Results orientation – clear track record of execution and pragmatism in prioritization.
• Strong understanding of and keen interest in technology advancements, including Generative AI.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
