Head Enterprise Architecture Enablement & Governance
About the Role
As Head of Enterprise Architecture Enablement & Governance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of global architecture management at Swiss Re. Based out of India, this Director-level position leads the operational backbone of enterprise architecture, enabling consistent governance, performance visibility, and collaboration across the organization.
Working closely with the EA leadership team, Design Authority, domain architects, and senior business and IT stakeholders, you will institutionalize a scalable, data-driven EA governance model across all domains, enabling transparency, accountability, and measurable business value realization.

Main Responsibilities
EA Operations Leadership
- Own and lead global Enterprise Architecture operations to ensure effective and harmonized governance, decision-making, and transparency of impact.
- Design and institutionalize a performance measurement framework linking architecture adherence to business value realization, cost optimization, and risk reduction.
- Develop and continuously improve processes for architecture decision boards, working groups, and community chapters.
- Accountable that enterprise architecture information is available and maintained and data quality standards are met by all domains
- Own the EA tooling strategy and data quality governance across architecture repositories
- Drive automation of architecture compliance through tool and data integration
Governance & Performance
- Ensure consistent documentation and application of architecture principles and standards across domains.
- Monitor architecture compliance and drive remediation where needed.
- Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards on the state of architecture management.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work in close partnership with EA leadership, domain and solution architects, and senior business and technology leaders.
- Act as a key enabler for alignment between business and tech strategy, architecture governance, and delivery.
- Support the global EA leadership team in driving engagement and transparency across the enterprise.
- Increase communication of EA via internal communication channels, publications, architecture trainings
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the EA Enablement & Governance team, fostering excellence, collaboration, career growth and innovation.
- Build capabilities in performance analytics, governance processes, and architecture management.
About you
- Education: Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 10+ years in enterprise architecture, architecture operations, or IT governance roles in large-scale global organizations.
- Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, governance models, and performance management.
- Proven ability to collaborate various leadership levels and influence in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with C-level stakeholders and leading teams across global locations.
- Familiarity with EA tools, data-driven performance reporting, and KPI frameworks.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is an asset.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
