International Reward Consultant

About the Role

 

As a Reward Consultant, you will be responsible for driving and delivering the Reward strategy, governance and compliance primarily across the APAC and EMEA regions. You will work in close collaboration with the country HR teams, advising on all Reward topics (including compensation and benefit topics).

 

Main tasks and activities include:

 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to country HR and business stakeholders on all reward topics during the employee life cycle
  • Drive and support the annual compensation review and any off-cycle compensation decision making activities including Swiss Re Asia Board approvals.
  • Manage annual reviews on salary increase forecasting, benchmarking and compensation ranges
  • Lead and collaborate with country HR on benefit programs to ensure competitiveness, cost effectiveness and compliance with local regulation and alignment with group benefit strategy and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with country specific remuneration regulations and guidance
  • Provide input on regulatory developments that may impact reward practices
  • Consult on compensation package & buy-outs
  • Understand country or business specific compensation challenges and provide solutions in the context of group standards and policy
  • Lead or support regional/global Reward projects and represent the needs of the local markets in the development of Reward products and services

 

About the Team

 

The Reward team, consisting of 35 people across 6 locations, seeks to provide best-in-class Reward solutions for Swiss Re globally. Reward has a critical role to play in attracting, retaining and developing the talent that the Group needs to succeed. It is a Centre of Excellence with a real passion for quality, supporting the delivery of an integrated service for HR and the business on all matters of reward.

 

The Reward Consultant reports to the Head Reward International Advisory. Under our matrix structure we collaborate closely between different global business areas and countries, and the larger Reward department.

We look for you to have

 

  • Bachelor's, master's degree or MBA
  • Minimum of 10+ years of work consulting experience in compensation and benefits ideally in a regional/international business environment
  • Strong understand of APAC and EMEA markets, regulatory environments and cultural nuances
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Savvy with MS Office and similar tools
