You interact with all levels of the business and gain a deep understanding of the Finance Reinsurance reporting processes. By working closely with the business, you will understand and analyze complex business requirements and translate these requirements to reporting and analytical solutions in SAP S/4HANA Finance. 

Your main duties in this role will be
•    Define and ensure consistent and standardized reporting capabilities based on SAP S/4HANA
•    Collaborate with finance team members to define reporting requirements
•    Design and implement reporting solutions in SAP Design Studio, Analysis for Office, and SAP Analytics Cloud
•    Analyze financial data through querying the database and running reports to ensure proper report design and also to support resolving incidents
•    Ensure best practice methods and analysis tools are utilized and reports are well documented, including training and support documentation
•    Build stakeholder understanding and engagement on the reporting vision
•    Analyze data using advanced reporting tools 
•    Work with business team members, product owners, and other team members to define business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans
•    Translate business requirements into solution design and patterns, which enables quality, re-usability, scalability, availability and maintainability in accordance with the overall business objective and IT standards
•    Ensure best practice methods and analysis tools are utilized and reports are well documented, including training and support documentation 
•    Develop and execute test cases and create functional documentation
•    Support the full application life cycle including incidents and change requests
•    Contribute to the improvement and optimization of reporting development processes to ensure a stable and high-quality development life cycle


About the team
Swiss Re Finance Reinsurance is undergoing a significant transformation with several meaningful projects to improve its operating platform. These projects are in the Finance Transformation Programme known as ATLAS. The scope of the Programme affects processes, organization and IT systems, such as valuation engines, sub ledgers, general ledgers as well as the reporting infrastructure. The transformation program is implementing SAP S/4HANA Finance as a General Ledger and Cost Accounting solution and is currently developing a new generation of Accounting for Insurance products together with SAP, which will be implemented as a subledger solution.


About you
•    University degree or similar education
•    Strong analytical skills
•    Solid understanding and working experience of Standard SAP Reports (SAP FI)
•    Experience with SAP technologies such as SAP S/4HANA, Analysis for Office, SAP Analytics Cloud, Fiori, SAP Advanced Compliance Reporting (ACR)
•    Finance reporting background and accounting knowledge (General Ledger incl. subledgers)
•    Strong financial acumen and sound understanding of multi-valuation concept (US-GAAP, statutory & regulatory reporting)
•    Familiar with financial statements and disclosure (for legal entities; localization)
•    Proven track record working as a reporting business analyst, skills in defining and delivering pragmatic reporting solutions as part of large, complex, multi-geography, multi-year transformation
•    2+ years of reporting experience with external legal entity reporting
•    Sound understanding of reporting processes and best-practice industry standards
•    Ability to write basic SQL statements for analyzing data
•    Basic working knowledge of ABAP CDS views to analyze problems and design new solutions is a plus
•    Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivery (experience with Jira is a plus)
•    Ability to translate data into meaningful financial insights and analysis
•    Ability to be a change agent for driving new methods of analysis
•    Solid communication skills, ability to interact with all levels within organization
•    Excellent active listening skills
•    Good understanding of and experience with the application lifecycle process, including planning, design, implementing, testing and releasing new versions
•    Knowledge of and experience with application testing which includes a solid grasp of unit, integration, regression, and performance testing
•    Experience with incident and change management processes
•    Self-starter willing to develop new ideas
•    Team player, committed to meeting the common goals and able to excel in virtual teams
•    Able to deal with ambiguity and influence positive outcomes
•    Pro-active, forward looking mind set and exceptional delivery focus
•    Fluency in English is a must
