This role is accountable for overseeing the Business Services activities delivered through the outsourced transactional centre in the Direct/Primary insurance sector.


In principle activities of the role would be:

  1. Oversee day to day operational activities related to Business Services (outsourced only)
  2. One point of contact for Operational escalations for operations managers
  3. Responsible to support the regular SLA(s)/KPI(s) governance and management for outsourced team
  4. Provide subject matter expertise as and when needed
  5. Review of Bus Service Risk Controls and evidencing to support Self Assessments and work with onshore/outsourced teams to ensure effectiveness.
  6. Collaborate with COE's in the annual capacity planning for outsourced activities.
  7. Manage and support the ongoing transition of activities from onshore to outsourcing partner.
  8. Support the external and internal audit requirements pertaining to business services.
  9. Ensure compliance to defined governance activities eg; monthly, quarterly and half yearly performance meetings.
  10. Continuously identify process improvement opportunities and work with wider teams to support implementation of changes.
  11. Review and maintain Standard Operations Procedures in collaboration with Regional Practice Lead


Additional responsibilities would be:

  • Collaborate with Regional Practice Leads & Underwriting Assistants to implement an effective and efficient process
  • Support UAT planning and execution
  • Oversee the Capacity utilisation
  • Conduct Bi Annual Audit of the BAU processes in Genpact
  • Support internal and external Audit requirements
  • Implement regional/global project deployments
  • Facilitate trainings and access management
  • Support the yearly Business Continuity exercise.
  • Adhoc reporting requirements


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in (re)insurance.
  • Proficient in understanding of Business services and related upstream and downstream functions
  • Good command over the Governance and Controls relevant topics
  • Strong Operational oversight and Analytical skills
  • Good understanding of different line of businesses and nuances
  • Good understanding of the outsourcing topics/management
  • Strong business communication and cross-cultural skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate agility with changes in task and priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Eager to learn and proactive participation
  • Strong customer focus and service orientation
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel MS Word and MS Power-point skills are essential
