Lead IT Product Owner
About the Role
As a Lead IT Product Owner, you will own the technical solution and delivery of Finance Reporting & Analytics applications. You ensure that solutions are feasible, scalable, compliant, and operationally stable, while aligning business needs with technical execution.
You act as the key interface between Business Product Owners and engineering teams, ensuring that requirements are translated into implementable solutions and that delivery is predictable, transparent, and aligned with enterprise standards.
You are accountable for product and backlog management, technical solution integrity, and end-to-end delivery, while working closely with Business Product Owners, Technical Business Analysts and engineering teams. You ensure data reliability, embedded controls, and outputs that meet regulatory, audit, and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical solution and end‑to‑end delivery of Finance Reporting & Analytics applications, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture
- Delivery planning and product backlog management with the Business Product Owner, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical readiness
- Translate business needs into clear, implementable technical solutions, and ensure transparent delivery with visibility on progress, risks, dependencies, and constraints
- Work closely with the Data Engineering Lead and the development team to ensure smooth execution and delivery of technical components
- Guide and support Technical Business Analysts in refining requirements into high-quality technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure compliance with IT architecture, SDLC, QA, and data governance standards throughout the product lifecycle
- Manage system dependencies, including upstream and downstream integrations, and ensure alignment across teams and systems
- Ensure operational readiness and stability, including incident and change management, security, access management, and monitoring

You will join the Palantir Foundry Reporting & Analytics Solutions team, a high‑impact product team working at the intersection of Finance, data, and technology. The team delivers and runs modern, data‑driven applications that enable Finance Reporting & Analytics, supporting both regulatory requirements and decision‑making.
The Palantir Foundry Solutions team is part of the Product Area Reporting & Analytics within Data & Technology Finance, where product ownership, engineering excellence, and close collaboration with Finance stakeholders come together to deliver and run business‑critical, visible, and evolving solutions.
About You
You're a passionate product professional who thrives in collaborative environments and gets energized by solving complex problems. You have a talent for translating business needs into technical requirements and can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You're data-driven, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within a data- or technology-driven environment, ideally in Finance or Reporting & Analytics
- Proven experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Platform, AWS data stack), combined with a background in Finance / FP&A and the (Re-)Insurance industry; familiarity with relevant data models and processes is a strong advantage
- Experience with data-related technologies and coding (e.g., Python, PySpark, SQL, TypeScript), enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams is a strong advantage
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology and influence at multiple seniority levels
- Ability to translate business requirements into implementable technical solutions, balancing feasibility, scalability, and delivery constraints
- Strong command of Agile ways of working (incl. tools and backlog management), with hands‑on experience guiding and collaborating with cross‑functional product and engineering teams
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset, including familiarity with product delivery and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
