MGA & Facilities Operations Lead

About the Role
The opportunity:


This role is responsible for the management and oversite of MGAs and Facilities within the CorSo
APAC MGA team. With a strong focus on compliance and timeliness, this role works closely with a
range of internal stakeholders including the Global Head MGAs & Facilities, Underwriters and
Regional Heads of Operations, Legal & Compliance, Risk, Actuarial and Risk & Compliance, as well
external stakeholders within the MGAs and Facilities to ensure the smooth day to day operation of
MGAs and facilities. This role requires a high level of organization and the ability to work meet
deadlines both individually and as a part of a cross functional team.


Core Responsibilities:

 

 

  •  Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines, regulations, and frameworks.
  •  Smooth operational handling of all MGAs ensuring all operational processes and tasks are executed in a timely manner.
  •  Support and drive on-boarding and off-boarding of MGAs and facilities, including the development and submission of e-Boards for approval by Senior Management.
  • Ensure timely receipt and processing of bordereaux, including resolution of data and cash matching issues as they arise.
  • Schedule and chair the monthly Client Services Team meetings, driving actions to completion, and other meetings as required.
  • Calculation and payment of profit commission as required.
  • Operational Performance Reporting as required.
  •  Coordinate and streamline information requirements for MGAs across due diligence,
  • legal/carrier management, global outsourcing policy etc.
  •  Maintain MGA oversight by developing handbooks (SOP's), best practice papers, conduct trainings, workshops and lessons learned sessions.
  •  Assist the business by leading, driving, and implementing projects and other initiatives.
  • Internal/External Stakeholder collaboration
  •  Interpret new regulation and/or policy and implement into current structures.
  •  Analyze data accurately and efficiently with a sound understanding of numbers.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Continuously develop management and oversight controls including the provision of highquality,
  • timely reports and overview of MGA and Facility business
  • Key contributor to Local and Global Projects in relation to MGAs and facilities.
  •  Drive innovation in products and processes.
  •  Contribute to the development and implementation of global/regional MGA and Facility
  • strategy.
  •  Recommend portfolio steering actions where appropriate.
  • Establish and guide local Deal Teams to support deals on a case-by-case basis.


About You

 

 

  • Approximately 5 years' experience within the insurance/reinsurance industry with a strong
  • background in Operations.
  •  Attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  •  Highly organized with Project Management experience, demonstrated experience delivering
  • key initiatives.
  •  Strong decision-making capabilities
  • Solutions and results oriented individual with an ability to multi-task.
  •  Able to operate collaboratively in a matrix organization and mobilize people to deliver on
  • objectives.
  •  A strong team player with ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and
  • credibility.
  •  Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience intermediate level required.
  •  Experience working within an MGA and/or Facility environment, or Account Management
  • experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English required.
