MS Dynamics for Marketing Automation Product Owner

We are looking for a Product Owner to lead our MS Dynamics implementation at Swiss Re. It is a strategic priority for Swiss Re to efficiently implement it's digital marketing platform on Microsoft Dynamics - a marketing automation ecosystem, which aims to connect channels and key data points across the client, marketing, communications and sales journey. Our initiative will implement the following marketing engagement processes:

 

  • Event and Invitation Management

  • Customer Insights Management

  • Newsletter Management

  • Digital Marketing Management

  • Lead Management

 

As Product Owner you will work with a dedicated team of Business Analysts, Engineers and Developers as well as the colleagues in our Business Units and the Branding & Marketing team to develop, improve and embed the marketing platform. You will coordinate closely with your Product Delivery Director and as well as key people from Branding & Marketing to create a plan and vision for the product that is aligned to business goals and, together with the team, prioritise and deliver. You will also represent the voice of the customer, ensuring Squad members understand customer needs and preferences.

 

To get this work done, you will maintain and prioritise the backlog of user stories that your Squad members will use to inform their work. Through your passion for marketing, technology and understanding of Microsoft and the Dynamics product, you aim to maximise the value we can get from the platform.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Direct, inform and prioritise work to maximise value within constraints of resource, strategy and compliance

  • Understand the needs of the business, marketing and other users and, work with them to shape the target state that the solution enables

  • Provide the business process owners in Branding & Marketing with insight and advice on MS Dynamics and other marketing technologies to steer the product strategy

  • Co-create, prioritize and communicate product roadmaps and high-level squad backlogs using iterative techniques with feedback loops

  • Ensure that development practices include clear test outcomes to guarantee quality of code within the development cycle; establish and run L3 Operational Support processes within squad and adoption of DevSecOps practices

  • To balance & manage technical debt in line with customer value work, aligning with the engineering lead on delivering to the architecture blueprint

  • Ensure cooperation between functions and teams and manage interdependencies and remove impediments to create an environment for people to excel

  • Support the squad to deliver on budget, to clear scope, with clear guidance on timelines with clear acceptance criteria

About you

  • Successfully completed university degree, preferably in computer science, math, physics, engineering, relevant business administration or similar field

  • Several years practical experience as a Technology Product Owner or similar role, preferably with MS Dynamics Marketing and Customer Insights Modules along with a strong understanding of digital marketing

  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills, with experience working with a range of internal or external customers

  • Detailed real-world experience with Scrum or similar agile methodologies. A Scrum Product Owner certification is an advantage

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Passion towards people development and motivation of junior team members to build a strong talent pool and encourage them to work well in a geographically distributed, diverse team

  • English proficient is a requirement, German or any other language is a plus
