Medex Data Management Specialist

The Medex Insights & Monitoring team enables data‑driven decision‑making for the global Medex portfolio. The team ensures timely, accurate, and meaningful insights on experience, performance, and portfolio behaviour, supporting stakeholders in Technical Accounting, Experience Studies, Pricing, and Portfolio Steering.
The team monitors client and portfolio metrics, automates recurring insight pipelines, and enhances transparency through scalable dashboards and analytics.



About the role:
 




In this role, you will support the development and execution of Medex monitoring activities by preparing, validating, and maintaining datasets and dashboards that enable timely insights. You will collaborate with senior analysts and data scientists to ensure monitoring indicators are accurate, relevant, and consistently refreshed.

This role contributes to strengthening Medex performance reporting, improving data quality, and supporting key business cycles with dependable analytical outputs.


Key responsibilities:


  • Maintain and refresh Medex monitoring dashboards and reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of monitoring indicators through systematic data checks.
  • Support monthly and quarterly monitoring cycles by preparing updated underlying datasets.
  • Clean, validate, and reconcile client, policy, and claims data used for monitoring.
  • Identify potential data gaps or anomalies and work with senior team members to support resolution.
  • Document recurring input datasets and maintain monitoring input structures.
  • Conduct basic trend and variance analyses to support insight generation.
  • Prepare visual summaries, charts, and outputs for reviews and presentations.
  • Provide data extracts and summaries for ad‑hoc requests from Pricing, Experience Studies, or Valuation.
  • Maintain process documentation and detailed SOPs for monitoring activities.
  • Track changes to dashboards, indicators, and source datasets in an organized manner.
  • Contribute to improving the consistency of recurring monitoring workflows.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, BI, or analytics roles, preferably in the Insurance field.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Hands‑on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
  • Basic programming capability in Python or R (nice to have; can be developed on the job).
  • Understanding of data cleaning, data validation, and relational data structures.
  • Strong attention to detail and good problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and extract meaningful insights.
  • Capability to manage recurring tasks reliably and efficiently.
  • Interest in insurance, health data, or reinsurance analytics (prior exposure is a plus, not mandatory).
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Clear communication skills for presenting data findings.
  • Proactive, organized, and eager to learn from senior colleagues.
