About the Role:
As an Operational Risk Data Analyst, you'll be at the intersection of risk management and technology, translating complex business requirements into practical, data-driven solutions. You'll have the opportunity to design and implement tools that enhance our operational risk framework while working with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop impactful dashboards and data visualizations that transform complex risk data into actionable insights
- Implement and optimize workflows within the Palantir Foundry application suite to streamline operational risk processes
- Translate business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions using existing ORM applications
- Leverage SQL, Python, and data visualization tools to create efficient reporting mechanisms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Automate routine processes using robotic process automation to increase efficiency
- Maintain and enhance existing applications and solutions to ensure continued effectiveness
- Analyze operational risk data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
About the Team:
You'll be joining the Operational Risk Management Governance team within Group Functions Risk Management (GFRM). Our team is dedicated to improving operational risk activities in line with a defined vision, applying technology and analytics expertise to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of operational risk management across the organization. We work collaboratively to develop innovative solutions that strengthen our risk management framework.
About You:
You're a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives on turning complex business challenges into elegant technical solutions. You have a natural curiosity about data and enjoy finding patterns and insights that others might miss. Your communication skills allow you to bridge the gap between technical concepts and business needs, making you an effective collaborator across departments.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and delivering dashboards and/or developing workflows within Palantir Foundry application suite (including Code Workbook, Code Repositories, Workshop, and Ontology Manager)
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience with robotic process automation
- Understanding of enterprise risk management concepts
- Experience working in the financial services or insurance industry
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles
- Ability to prioritize multiple topics simultaneously and switch between detailed analytics and big-picture thinking
- Experience working in multicultural environments
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
