Role Overview

Are you looking forward to work closely with the Regional facultative underwriter to support them in Pre-underwriting activities and simple Lean costing using ground-breaking in-house tools and technology? For this role, you are expected to have in-depth knowhow about insurance and reinsurance products and markets. Deliver timely and accurate business-processing, administrative, technical and marketing support to underwriting process for Property & Casualty underwriters.
Duties and responsibilities directly impact productivity, process efficiency, timeliness, profitability and accuracy of the underwriting process. In addition, you are expected to be a good teammate with dedication, eagerness to learn and strong collaboration skills.

Main tasks/activities/responsibilities
- In this role you will provide assistance to the Cross Functional Team (XFT), drive operations and ensure processes are effective
- Understand the overall P&C FAC underwriting business process and provide both technical and operational support for APAC's P&C FAC Underwriters
- Provide technical support for New and renewal process, handle submissions by performing risk clearing and compliance related checks before setting up the Facultative risk in Swiss Re' s admin system.
- Help with Pre-underwriting activities (check for risk accumulations) and simple renewal costing (e.g.: Roll forward Pricing, Empowered Costing)
- Maintain the contract certainty (i.e. signing, stamping and filing) and perform client follow up on missing documents.
- Ensure proper coordination with the local desk underwriters, Junior underwriters in Bangalore and other stakeholders.
- Assist with internal & external Audit and Risk Management related queries including regulatory checks and controls
- Build and maintain good relationships with your stakeholders, continuously seek feedback for individual and team growth
- Act as a business expert on SR Facultative administrative tools, maintain the best practice on record management and processes. Participate in UAT's and suggest continuous process improvements
Evaluate and make improvements to Business processes
- Ensuring e2e process effectiveness by overseeing Business Services Business
- Monitor team's performance including data quality and timeliness for respective portfolio.
- Challenging existing processes and closely collaborate with Business Services Quality Assurance team to drive/implement changes as needed
- Analyzing implemented changes and make further adjustments to workflow, schedules or other processes
About You/ Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Insurance and Reinsurance industry business operations
- Knowledge and understanding of Facultative Property/ Casualty insurance principles and practice
- Knowledge of P&C lines policy conditions and wording.
- Good understanding on quotation request and submission data analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Effective team player with a positive outlook and proven ability to work in globally located team situations, understanding, and demonstrating sensitivity toward cultural differences
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills in English. Other foreign language will be good to have.
