International Programs has built a state-of-the-art platform that brings together Broker, Carriers and Insureds to deliver sophisticated International Insurance solutions. The platform aims to streamline processes, reduce friction, gain efficiencies and create transparency in the exchange of information and connect different market players in an industry which today is mostly handled via emails and documents.

 

We are hiring a Product Owner to oversee the customer portal and self-service journeys. We look forward to a self-motivated, passionate and creative mind who can gel with our highly enthusiastic development team.

 

 

 The Opportunity

As a Junior Product Owner within the International Programs department, you will be fundamental to the further successful development of the products, including the definition of a product vision and the managing of development teams to execute and build towards this vision. You will be the key point of contact for your area of the product towards internal stakeholders but also represent the product towards a growing number of external customers.

Working closely across many internal departments and external partners, you will be responsible for the successful rollout and enhancement of the products we provide our customers. In our highly dynamic "start-up-like" culture there is an abundance of opportunities, but also demands, to diversify the scope of your role and work on different topics such as legal, compliance, sales and proposition management. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your insurance domain knowledge as well as your technical and project management experience in a new and exciting way, to bring something different to the market and support us in our mission to reduce the inherent friction in the delivery of International Programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent product management as a Product Owner in scrum teams
  • Provide product vision and direction to development and enabling teams
  • Work closely with Product Managers to define user journeys, end to end process flows and wireframes
  • Plan and prioritize product backlog. Proficiently document and explain initiatives to engineering teams, perform epic and story breakdown. Define user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Partner with UI/UX and engineering teams to brainstorm and formulate the functional and technical solutions to achieve the business goals
  • Participate in QBR and ABR processes
  • Positively challenge the engineering team to reach sprint goals and release targets, continually striving for improvement in sprint velocity and quality

Requirements

  • Track record in technology focused change project and/or similar experience, with a keen interest to leverage technology to improve the handling of international programs
  • Knowledge of the administration of International Insurance Programs and Commercial Insurance Contracts
  • You demonstrate a strong interest and understand of new technologies - You learn how to use new tools quickly
  • You have worked in an agile environment, ideally with experience in Scrum and Spotify agile models
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work with a high work volume while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Participate in multiple assignments with overlapping delivery dates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively communicate business issues, objectives and recommended solutions utilizing strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently and deliver at high-quality under pressure
  • Fluent in English, other languages are an asset
  • Good and always professional communication skills with internal stakeholders as well as external customers
  • Willingness to work in a distributed team
