R&C Control & Oversight Analyst

 

About the Role:

 

 

As a Control and Oversight Lead, you will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of a highly motivated, dynamic Operations Risk and Compliance (R&C) team. You will be reporting to Head R&C Control & Oversight to deliver strong performance aligned with a strong risk culture. This position demands a balance between analytical rigor and a business-driven mindset, focusing on testing processes, synthesizing insights from multiple sources, and challenging constructively to ensure risk and control initiatives are aligned and effective. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  1. Monitoring performance monitoring via ongoing testing of Operational Risk Controls.
  2. Working with global stakeholders to align control and oversight programs, to deliver cross-functional consistent application.
  3. Lead engagements with stakeholders from the business and control functions to deliver key actions.
  4. Analysing sampling methodologies and adjusting monitoring frameworks to align with process requirements, ensuring a balance between compliance and operational efficiency.
  5. Building risk awareness amongst peers by providing support and training within the organisation.
  6. Working with colleagues from control functions to gather their requirements, identify key risks, and support prioritisation and response.
  7. Steer and support assurance-related activities, including internal and external audits, where applicable.

 

 

About You:

 

 

  1. Strongly analytical, enjoy independent work with a strong eye to quality and continuous improvement
  2. Proven experience in cross-functional stakeholder engagement, preferably in risk, compliance, or operational oversight environments.
  3. Strong influencing and communication skills; able to challenge constructively and manage senior stakeholders.
  4. Experience in driving process or governance improvements in complex, global environments.
  5. You are motivated by fast paced collegiate environments which develop technical and soft skills.
  6. Bachelor's degree in management, Risk, Finance or Accounting. Prior experience in financial services and/or consulting, including project/change management preferred.
